While doing laundry this weekend, I was thinking of a change I made a while back. I no longer buy stain remover in plastic bottles. A laundry bar of soap works just as well. There are lots of alternative ways to do laundry economically—that bar lasted so long! You can even shred the bar and make your own detergent. And a bar of laundry soap takes up less space, stores more easily, and is lighter to lift. To use it as a stain remover, simply wet it, and rub it on the satin. I plan to write to food manufacturers in addition to the heads of business and organizations that work with me. I want to urge them to make better packaging choices.  Maybe you can do the same? I sent an email this morning to a company that sells food in bulk.  I told them I would not be ordering again unless they changed how they packaged their products. I had called them last summer to let them know my thoughts, and I was told they were redesigning the packaging, but, so far, there’s been no change.

This image really makes me think. I say, “This is an easy win. Simply skip the straw." Second option is to buy a reuasble one and carry it with you. I know there are a lot of alternatives to plastic straws. The Ideal solution: Imagine what a differnce it could make iif all take-out restaurants nationwide switched to eco-freindly alternatives.
