I am a graphic designer, artist, and art teacher, compelled to use my skills to help the planet. I plan to create one design each day for 2022. These designs are for sale on organic and sustainable products to help spread awareness of our growing plastic pollution problem by reminding us that we can choose less single-use plastic.
About "SKIP THE STRAW" Design #11: Think Summer! This logo’s got a carefree theme. And the “jumping” typeface above it is suggestive of summer fun. The message to “Skipping the Straw” is a necessary one. We may think, Why bother? One little, plastic straw can’t hurt the planet. But think again. If we multiply one by the number of people on the planet, we’ll begin to see how taking tiny steps for the better can make a huge difference.
A travel mug to take your coffee tea or any other drink to go will help you create less waste and spread the message of less single-use plastic. Fill it up at a coffee self serve cafe or in the break room instead of using a new plastic or styrofoam cup. This would make a great gift item.
