I have been a spectator at many racing events and I have been amazed at how much plastic waste there is from water bottles given out at the end of the race. Athletes need to hydrate, but there are better ways. When I watched the Vermont City Marathon this year I noticed that they had a giant filling station for the athletes. What a great idea. It is called a Water Monster and it easily allows many people to form around it and fill up. What a novel idea and a great product. If you are a runner, or a race director perhaps you've been wondering how we can make the races more sustainable, look into the Water Monster!
