I am a graphic designer, artist, and art teacher, compelled to use my skills to help the planet. I plan to create one design each day for 2022. These designs are for sale on organic and sustainable products to help spread awareness of our growing plastic pollution problem by reminding us that we can choose less single-use plastic.
About "COFFEE BEAN" Design #72: I added another design with a wordplay. Have you "BEAN" using less plastic? Coffee colors or brown and cream highlight this design with a steaming cup of java with a coffee bean on it. This design is for coffee lovers to encourage more refills in travel mugs. Most places will happily fill your own cup if you ask. The plastic tops on take-out coffee cups are not recyclable and they are a big polluter because they are lightweight and blow around.
If you do buy a coffee out, you could consider skipping the lid and sitting to enjoy your coffee.
A travel mug to take your coffee tea or any other drink to go will help you create less waste and spread the message of less single-use plastic. Fill it up at a coffee self serve cafe or in the break room instead of using a new plastic or styrofoam cup. This would make a great gift item.
