"California" Less Single-Use Plastic Design #37 by © Juliana2me
I am a graphic designer, artist, and art teacher, compelled to use my skills to help the planet. I plan to create one design each day for 2022. These designs are for sale on organic and sustainable products to help spread awareness of our growing plastic pollution problem by reminding us that we can choose less single-use plastic.
About "CALIFORNIA" Design #37: Since surfing comes to mind with California's long and glorious coast, and since much of the surfing community leads the way in protecting oceans by cleaning up the plastics and educating people on plastic pollution in the ocean, I choose to use a surfing theme for the California design. One line is for the wave and one for is for the board, both under a peach sun. The colors are bright as the sunshine and the high contrast of orange and blue speaks of the energy of the cities in California and their culture.
California was the first state to ban plastic bags way back in 2016! Impressive. Also, in 2018 they banned plastic straws in restaurants unless you specifically ask for one.
Carry the message of Less Single-Use Plastic with you to help spread the movement.
This 100% lightweight cotton tote is not organic, however, it is a sustainable practice to carry a cotton bag, and the more you use it, the more sustainable it will be.
