"ALASKA" Less Single-Use Plastic Design #36 by © Juliana2me Canvas Tote Bag
I am a graphic designer, artist, and art teacher, compelled to use my skills to help the planet. I plan to create one design each day for 2022. These designs are for sale on organic and sustainable products to help spread awareness of our growing plastic pollution problem by reminding us that we can choose less single-use plastic.
About " ALASKA" Design #36: My design challenge for the states is to capture the essence of a place in just two lines and one circle. Alaska gets a purple moon for the mystery of its expansive wilderness and a jagged sharp line with a snow-covered peak for its mighty mountains.
Alaska does not currently have a plastic bag ban, however, many of its communities have created ordinances to ban them, and even more impressive some communities have stopped using them voluntarily! "For many years Alaska communities have struggled with windblown litter, a large portion of which are plastic bags". Learn more about Alaska's plastic bag bans.
