Plastic in Many Tea Bags

I Had No Idea That Many Teabags Contain Plastic!

It was not until I started this project that I became aware that many teabags contain plastic. I avoid heating plastic in the microwave for health reasons, but never gave a second thought to plastic when  I brewed a cup of tea. Little did I know that I was drinking microplastics mixed with boiling water. I am now aware.

Whatever you choose for tea, I hope you will now be informed. There is much more research that needs to be done on microplastics and health, but even from the little they have done there does seem to be a negative correlation. I'm playing it safe and rethinking my habits.

Here are some otions to consider:

LOOSE LEAF TEA: I do love loose leaf tea, and this is a great choice if you can buy it in bulk at your local coop. Maybe you are lucky enough to live near a tea shop where you can refill.Some loose leaf teas that come in tins as oppsed to plastic:
